3 ways to help you welcome change

Having a mindset of welcoming change can help you learn how to live with a new change in your life, progress, learn, and grow from it, and allow yourself to gain new tools for future changes down the road.

1. Accepting and surrendering to changes in our lives

We might have changes that just happen to us like our circumstances, or changes that we intentionally make like new goals or opportunities, new projects, or a new way of thinking or becoming.

2. Using trial and error

Experimenting and exploring makes a new change fun and interesting. It removes the drama and allows you room to fail -- and room to succeed.

3. Focusing on filling our own cup

When we do the things that energize and rejuvenate us -- especially in the times when life is in upheaval -- we have the mental and emotional capacity to welcome change.

Filling our cup allows us to surrender and accept change gracefully, to have the energy to experiment with trial and error, and to have the perseverance to keep going even when change is uncomfortable.
