3 Steps to Experience More Joy In Your Everyday Life

Okay so once you’ve found which area or relationship you’d like to have more joy in, you can just follow this simple 3 step process that works every time. Let’s see how this could work for you.

1. Visualize

First step is to visualize! (We love this part!)

Think of how you want to experience more joy in this area. What could that look like?

Now is a great time to access your future self and imagine your ideal life 5, 10 years from now. Ask your future self what her life looks like. How is she finding more joy in this area?

Picturing, imagining and visualizing is a great place to start to see what you actually want. What would be fun? What do you really want?

This is something we love to do right before bed. Just as we’re falling asleep we start to visualize and picture our ideal life and what that looks like.

2. Experiment

Once you’ve visualized, now it’s time to experiment and have fun trying things out! It doesn’t have to be perfect. Remember, you’re just experimenting. If you don’t like something or it’s not a good fit, try something else.

Now’s a great time to ask yourself, “What can I try right now? What sounds fun to try? What sounds interesting to me?” Start there.

It’s not about doing what you “should” do. Now’s a great time to try things you might not have tried before or haven’t done in awhile and use to love.

3. Discover

After you’ve visualized and experimented it’ll lead you to the third step, which is to discover.

By now you’ll have uncovered what you like and don’t like. Take a look at what worked and what didn’t work when you were experimenting and decide what you want to do moving forward.

This is where you can start to incorporate what you discovered into your everyday life and hopefully experience more joy than you had before!

It might even become a new habit, goal or a practice you now try.
