Today we’re sharing our conversation about STILLNESS: how to find time for stillness, what to do during that time, and how to truly connect with God to create your life. You’ll learn how to WANT to set aside generous, dedicated time for spirituality…

How To Find Time For Stillness

No matter your current schedule or stage of life, we promise there’s away for you to set aside time each day for a generous, dedicated spiritual practice. It all comes down to DESIRE.

It’s about setting aside time for spirituality because you WANT to, not because you should.

The key here is finding a strong WHY behind your practice. Why do you want to find time for stillness?

Find out - What you want from this time?

  • Learning?

  • Feelings of peace?

  • More power to act?

  • Personal revelation?

  • Help solving a problem?

  • Guidance for reaching goals?

  • Feeling of connection with God?

  • More ability to be calm throughout the day?

Once you figure out what you want from this time, see how you could use your spiritual time to obtain it.

What To Do During Your Spiritual Practice

Here are some things you can do during your stillness time.

  • Prayer

  • Meditation, pondering, thinking

  • Reading scriptures

  • Reading inspiring books or talks

  • Journaling

*You don’t need to do ALL of these things.

We’ve gotten the most out of our spiritual practice when we start to be really mindful of what it is we actually need that day and what practice speaks to us the most. Maybe one day you feel like writing a ton. Maybe one day you just need to pray and ponder…The magic comes when you start listening to what it is you really want and need.

If you don’t know where to start, you can always experiment. Pick one thing - like reading scriptures and then you can add something else on if it feels good to you.

When it comes to praying, there are so many nuanced skills that we practice in prayer. Are there any here that you’d like to focus on? Try focusing on just one.

  • formulating intentions

  • deciphering personal revelation

  • unifying ourselves with God as a co-creator

  • learning to experience our body as a temple of the spirit

  • resiliency in the face of doubt or confusion

  • personal introspection

  • humility

  • sanctification

  • patience

  • bringing God's healing power into our lives

Ask yourself WHAT you want to do during this time and go from there.

How To Truly Connect With God To Create Your Life

Whether you’re creating your goals, your day, your feelings, or anything else…it’s possible to connect with God to help you create the life you want! Here’s what we’ve learned.

You have to create things spiritually FIRST, before you start creating them physically. This could look like:

  • Intentional prayer filled with faith, peace, confidence, and trust

  • Journaling what you want and aligning that with God’s plan

  • Picturing what things could be like

  • Spending that quiet time with God and then setting an intention for the day

  • Inviting God to help you come up with a personal mantra so you can start believing something new.

Once you’ve taken time to dream, visualize, and plan with God, then you can start taking action in a physical sense after. This could look like:

  • Moving forward with faith

  • Taking the first step in something

  • Experimenting with a project, goal, or habit

  • Creating a better system for something

  • PRACTICING - practicing a new thought, a new habit, a new routine…

  • Letting go of something that no longer serves you

We used to think that creating results physically was the hard part. But we’ve now come to realize that’s the easy part once you’ve created something spiritually!

It takes patience, faith, trust, hope, understanding, big picture thinking, and diligence, but once you take the time to connect with God and create things spiritually you’ve already done the hardest part!

Now you can move forward with faith, take small actionable steps, and get closer to creating the life you really want!
