5 Ways to Master Intentional Living

  1. Actively WORK toward creating the life you want to live

    • Decide what kind of life you want. Think of what kind of story you want to live and then get to WORK at creating that life, little by little, day after day.

    • Get to know your future self so you have extra help & guidance along the way

    • You don’t have to be intentional, but if it’s something you truly desire then you can learn how to create it. Check out Ep. 115 Aligning Your Desires to Get What You Want

  2. Set an intention at the beginning of your day

    • How do you want to feel today? What do you want to focus on? What needs your attention the most?

    • Create your own mantra for the day to help you stay on track

  3. SIMPLIFY

    • Things don’t have to be as complicated or tiresome as we make them!

  4. Relax

    • Try being a little more flexible and open to change when you can.

    • See where you could “relax your efforts” throughout the day

  5. Use YOUR personality & unique gifts

    • Sometimes your personality or unique gifts are what keep you from living an intentional life (distract you) and other times they can be what help you love a more intentional life.

    • Find out what keeps you from living an intentional life and see if you can turn it around to work for you instead of against you.

      • Are you: Future focused? Detail oriented? Service oriented? Like to research? Whimsical?

      • Understand your own unique gifts & use those to work for you not against.

Don’t worry you don’t have to do all 5 of these. Just pick one that you’d like to work and try it out today!

How to come up with your own definition of intentional living by determining when you feel like your best self…

How to Create Your OWN definition of Intentional Living

  1. Give words to what Intentional Living means to you

    • When do you feel like your best self? What can you do to feel like that more often?

  2. Be able to say it clearly off the top of your head

    • Ex. Laura’s definition: Fully experiencing the day

    • Ex. Kristin’s definition: Everything is a choice

    • What do you want yours to be?

  3. Compare the results of your life to that definition and see if they match up.

    • Having a simple definition written down is so helpful so that you have something to reference. This way you know you’re on the right track!

    • We’ve found it super helpful to have a purpose statement and then break that down into monthly goals and then into daily to do’s.

The beautiful thing is that it can be whatever speaks to you!
